The Urban Canvas

This photoshoot is all attitude and confidence—where street grit meets raw sensuality. Set against vibrant graffiti walls and industrial backdrops, the model becomes part of the art, blending bold poses with the rebellious energy of the city. Think ripped denim, leather, crop tops, mesh, heels—or bare feet on concrete. The vibe is confident, unapologetic, and electric. With harsh shadows, pops of color, and gritty textures, every shot tells a story of bold femininity, street-style edge, and fearless self-expression. This is more than a photoshoot—it’s a statement.

Unstoppable.

Vibrant walls, killer curves, and zero apologies.

Lighting

In my urban canvas photoshoots, the use of a two-point lighting setup is essential to create an edgy and dynamic visual composition that accentuates the model's body and its alluring curves. The first light source, known as the key light, will be strategically positioned to cast a soft but intense glow on the model, highlighting the contours of the looks and the body's natural curves. This key light will sculpt the subject, creating a captivating interplay of highlight and shadow. To intensify the edginess of the shot, a second light source, the rim light, will be placed behind the model. This light will in essence, cut out the model, increase light on the background behind, and emphasizes the intricate details of the looks. Creating a sensual, glowing outline around the model's figure, adding a sense of drama and allure. The interplay between these two lights will result in a captivating and dynamic composition, making each shot a work of art in itself.

Wardrobe

For our Urban Grafitti photoshoots, I encourage models to select edgy and sexy street-style lingerie type looks that resonate with their sense of empowerment, beauty, and Fashion. Each look should be a reflection of the individual's unique style and self-assuredness, prioritizing comfort and confidence. Whether it's daring lace, strappy leather, or provocative see-through mesh, Your chosen looks should make you feel feel fierce, confident, and undeniably beautiful. The aim is to capture not just the visual allure, but also the inner strength of the model and self-assuredness that shines through when one feels empowered in their chosen attire. This emphasis on personal empowerment and beauty ensures that the resulting images are a true celebration of individuality and self-confidence.

Makeup & Glam

First and foremost… Models should wear a makeup look that makes them feel undeniably beautiful and confident. Your comfort is important and you should feel as though you look your best. Weather that’s heavy, light, or no makeup at all.

With that said, bold makup isn’t necessarily better in the portraits because the bckground and your outfits really tell the story so makup in these isn’t the most important thing. I always tell models to wear what you feel the most comfortable. But adding a little pop of color like bold red lipstick with bold red nails is always a good look.
